Ron Bayes is "the Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Literature and Creative Writing and Writer-in-Residence at St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, North Carolina." He was born in 1932.

I recorded Ron Bayes reading History of theTurtle at the Hertford Ranch in Placitas in 1964 on my Sony 7 inch reel to reel tape recorder. I'd published the first book, as well as Fred Franklyn's Virgules and Deja Vu as soon as I returned from the Vancouver Conference.

Ron read his Quartet and Poems to Robert Creeley and me at a different session at my place.
