Lee Bartlett fostered an energetic poetry series at the University of New Mexico (rare these and other days) plus publishing relevantly to our area and elsewhere.

Charles Alexander's Chax Press is essential to poets and writers of our time and I must add, Lenore and I appreciate Charles hosting us when I gave a reading and lecture in Tucson years ago. Date of this Alexander-Bartlett reading event was September 21, 1990.

Steve Benson presented this reading on May 23, 1984.Thanks for clarifying the date, Mr. Benson! His notebook says it was "a potpourri of works inc. 'vanity mirrors' - encore of 'johnny guitar.' "
