I recorded this on reel to reel in my casita at the Hertford Ranch in Placitas, New Mexico. June 1966. Ken was visiting staying with me. I published Ken's work as Duende 4, April 1964,The Roadrunner Poem with a biographical sketch by the poet. And as Duende 8, September 1965, Movements/Sequences, with a note on Irby's poetry by Robert Creeley. I'd met Ken right after I got back from the Vancouver Poetry Conference of 1963 and we became life-long friends. He was born in 1936, a year after me, and died in 2015.

I've done the best I can with this recording. I've been working nonstop for 2 weeks getting my tapes converted to digital. I was thrilled to discover this recording which I thought I'd done but wasn't certain till I rediscovered it.
