John Macker was born in Newport Beach, California and raised in Denver, where he attended Catholic school. He graduated from the Univ. of Missouri and attended Naropa Institute in Boulder in his early twenties, where he studied poetics under Gregory Corso. After 20 years living in a restored roadhouse on the Santa Fe Trail in San Miguel County, John has moved into Santa Fe, with artist spouse, Annie.
