My mother died not long after Kennedy was assassinated. There's no connection really but sometimes I think that tragedy in a nextdoor state could have contributed to her worries. But the real culprit was tuberculosis she had not long after I was born . . . pre-penicillin. She didn't reach 50. This music is for her, she who taught me how to play the piano.
I sat down warmed up set up recorder and made up/played, that is, improvised these 3 pieces, thinking all the while, it's International Women's Day, so that led to thinking of my mother down in Roswell. She played piano for different functions and was good at some popular tunes like Stardust, San Antonio Rose, Always and more. She had a relaxed stride technique.

The first track is oompah, oompah, oompah surprise of an old fashioned playing but lovingly so.
The second is hopefully somewhat sweet considering the love my mother expressed for others, lifetime, through her early bout with devastating tuberculosis through her remaining years always upbeat to everyone around her.
The third part here is a long spontaneous piece of creative love with the sadness interplaying. Thinking through her hospital journal she kept And her recuperation never terribly strong except in her outgoing concern.
